The Counseling Center provides comprehensive mental health services to the residents of Wayne and Holmes Counties. It is certified as a mental health provider by the State of Ohio. The staff is comprised of professionals in the areas of psychiatry, psychology, social work, counseling and nursing.
Services include counseling for children, adults, and families, crisis intervention, community support to assist individuals who have experienced psychiatric hospitalization, and community education on a variety of mental health topics. Services are confidential and are provided on a non-discriminatory basis. Crisis service is available around the clock.

Services offered by Every Woman's House Inc., are available to families & victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The agency provides individual and group counseling, emergency shelter on a 24-hour basis, and operates an emergency hotline.
Every Woman's House provides support services to all survivors of rape, incest and related offenses. The agency also provides counseling for children living in violent homes, victim advocacy services, and community education on domestic violence and sexual assault prevention.
Other programs offered by Every Woman's House include the Another Way Program, which provides individual and group counseling for domestic violence offenders; group counseling for violent and abusive adolescents; life skills development education for shelter residents; consultation and referral services, and an extensive volunteer network.

Outreach Community Living Services (OCLS) provides housing and assistance to people with a mental disability. Clients live independently in facilities owned by the agency and with family or friends. OCLS also maintains group homes and shared living arrangements for those unable to live alone.
Services are organized around a person's needs and may include training in social skills, money management, consumer education and assistance with home maintenance and parenting. A Protective Payee program helps people with psychiatric disabilities by managing their finances for them when needed.

STEPS is state certified through the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services. The agency provides services for adults and youth through their staff of qualified chemical dependency counselors.
Community services include chemical dependency screening, chemical dependency assessment, outpatient counseling, and intensive outpatient counseling. The agency also provides services at the Wayne County Jail and operates residential treatment facilities for men and women. STEPS provides treatment for co-dependency, organizes special training opportunities and has staff who work in community education and prevention with youth and adults.

Your Human Resource Center of Wayne and Holmes Counties is certified by the State of Ohio as both a mental health and substance abuse outpatient treatment facility. Counseling is available from qualified staff for a variety of problems including emotional difficulties, adolescent problems, sex offender assessment and treatment, and psychological assessments. Educational and support groups are available as well as individual, group, and family counseling.
Areas of expertise include parenting skills training, substance abuse prevention services, family intervention services, substance abuse education, specialized program for delinquent youth and incarcerated youth, specialized programs for individuals on probation or recently released from incarceration, a specialized program for the first time adolescent shoplifter, urinalysis testing for drugs of abuse, a teenage pregnancy prevention program, the Big Brothers and Big Sisters Program of Wayne and Holmes Counties, and services to inmates incarcerated in the Wayne and Holmes County jails.
Your Human Resource Center has contracts with Job Training Partnership to provide services to in-school youth and with Holmes County Department of Human Services to provide specialized services through a Customers FIRST program to clients and other agency staff in Holmes County.

Catholic Charities places special emphasis on services to children and families. It's goal is to provide service programs to help families, children, and individuals cope with social and personal problems which affect their daily lives. Help is available for school and behavior problems, parent-child conflict, adjustment to divorce and other family changes, grief and loss issues, abuse, chronic illness, etc. Special programs include juvenile court referred home based counseling for children and their families who are victims of sexual abuse.

Boy's Village is a private non-profit multi-service organization best known for its residential treatment program for boys. Boy's Village also serves both boys and girls in its treatment foster care program. The agency has residential treatment for boys and has on-campus school serving boys in residence. A second residential facility is located near Mt. Vernon, Ohio.

Christian Children's Home (CCHO) offers services for children including outpatient counseling, foster care, and residential treatment for children and adolescents from birth through adulthood. The agency is certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health to provide counseling and diagnostic assessment services, as well as by Ohio Department of Human Services.
The New Beginnings Center is family and child focused, providing outpatient mental health counseling and psychological assessment services. They offer individual, family and group therapy. A Foster Care Network serves children who need traditional care through therapeutic and emergency placement services. the network covers a multi-county area from Columbus to Cleveland.
A residential center for children and adolescents age 6 years and older provides a structured living environment. Homes are staffed by live-in teaching parents assisted by a team that offers counseling, psychological and psychiatric services. An on-grounds school meets the needs of children in Wayne County who have severe behavioral problems.
